Lawn Care in Taylor, UT

Your weekends shouldn't be spent fighting weeds and wondering why your grass isn't growing the way it should. That's where Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control comes in.

We've been helping homeowners across Taylor build stronger, greener lawns for 37 years. Our program runs from early spring through fall, covering fertilization, weed control, soil conditioning, and grub prevention, all handled by our team so you don't have to think about it. Each visit starts with a lawn inspection, and treatments are adjusted to what your lawn actually needs that season.

It works because we stay consistent. Six fertilization applications using both liquid and slow-release nutrients keep your grass fed all season long. Pre-emergent treatments stop weeds before they start, and post-emergent spot or blanket sprays take care of anything that breaks through. The result is turf that fills in, holds up, and keeps improving visit after visit.

Here's why homeowners in Taylor keep choosing Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control:

Recurring Lawn Care Programs in Taylor

A Healthier Lawn Without the Guesswork or Harmful Chemicals

Caring for your lawn in Taylor means working with the land, not against it. At Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control, every Lawn Care treatment is chosen with your family, pets, and pollinators in mind. We use EPA-approved, low-toxicity products and explain exactly what we apply and why, so you never have to wonder what's going into your soil or drifting toward your garden beds.

Here is what our process looks like from start to finish:

  1. A thorough on-site lawn inspection identifies nutrient deficiencies, soil compaction, and weed pressure before a single product is applied
  2. A pre-emergent herbicide application creates a protective barrier early in the season, stopping weed seeds like crabgrass and dandelions before they germinate
  3. Six seasonal fertilization treatments using slow-release and liquid nutrient formulas feed your lawn steadily from March through October, supporting deeper root development and greener, thicker growth
  4. Blanket or targeted spot-spray post-emergent treatments address any broadleaf weeds that appear, with visible results in just a few days
  5. Two preventative grub control applications each season protect root systems from underground damage before it starts
  6. Soil conditioning with organic matter improves moisture retention and nutrient availability, giving your grass the foundation it needs to stay resilient through Utah's dry summers and strong UV exposure

Why Homeowners in the Area Trust Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control

Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control is a family-owned business built on transparency, eco-responsible practices, and genuine care for the properties we serve. There are no long-term contracts, no surprise applications, and no heavy-handed sales tactics. Our technicians take the time to walk you through each treatment, answer your questions honestly, and tailor every visit to what your lawn actually needs. If protecting the people and pets in your yard matters to you, you will find a team here that takes that responsibility as seriously as you do.

No Contracts, No Pressure

Too many lawn care companies lock you into long-term contracts, leaving you stuck even when the results fall short. At Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control, we do things differently because we believe our work should earn your trust, not a signature.

We're confident in what we deliver, and our results speak for themselves. You stay with us because your lawn looks great, not because you're bound to a piece of paper.

Lawn Fertilization and Weed Control in Taylor

Weed Control and Lawn Fertilization in Taylor

Keeping a lawn healthy in Utah takes more than occasional mowing. Between the arid summers, variable soil conditions, and stubborn weeds like dandelions, crabgrass, and thistle, your grass is constantly competing for the resources it needs to stay thick and green.

Research shows that lawns with consistent fertilization programs can be up to 35% more resistant to drought stress and weed pressure than untreated lawns. That kind of resilience matters a lot when Utah summers push temperatures high and rainfall stays low.

What Makes Weed and Fertilization Care Different Here

Royal Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control builds every treatment plan around the specific conditions of your property. Utah's clay and sandy soils, combined with salt-affected ground near the Great Salt Lake and intense UV exposure at higher elevations, mean a one-size approach simply does not work. Our EPA-approved products are low-risk for kids and pets while staying effective against the weeds and nutrient gaps that hold your lawn back.

Here is what our weed control and fertilization service covers across Utah

  • Six seasonal fertilization treatments using liquid and slow-release nutrients
  • Pre-emergent applications to stop weed seeds before they sprout
  • Blanket and spot-spray post-emergent treatments for existing broadleaf weeds
  • Soil conditioning with organic matter to improve moisture retention and nutrient availability
  • Grub control applications to protect root systems throughout the season
  • Eco-responsible, family-safe and pet-safe products on every visit

A well-fed, weed-free lawn does not just look better. It holds up against foot traffic, resists disease, and builds stronger roots that carry it through Utah's dry stretches. If you have questions about how these services apply to your specific lawn, there is plenty more to explore below.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Lawn care Services in Taylor

Can I mow right after a fertilization treatment?

We recommend waiting at least 24–48 hours and watering your lawn before mowing after a fertilization treatment. This gives the product time to activate and absorb properly.

How often should my lawn be fertilized?

Most lawns benefit from fertilization every 6 to 8 weeks during the growing season. However, the ideal schedule can vary based on your grass type, soil condition, and local climate.

What kind of fertilizer do you use?

We use professional-grade, slow-release fertilizers tailored to the season and your lawn’s specific needs. Our blends promote long-lasting results while being safe for your lawn, family, and pets when used as directed.

Will fertilization get rid of weeds?

While fertilization promotes a thicker lawn that naturally crowds out weeds, we combine it with targeted weed control for best results. Fertilization alone won’t eliminate existing weeds!

Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?

Yes, of course! Your safety is our top priority. We use products and application methods that are designed to be effective and produce results, while also being safe for humans, pets, and the environment when used as directed. Our technicians are trained to apply treatments with care and responsibility.

How do I know if my lawn needs professional care?

Every lawn can benefit from ongoing care, regardless of its current condition. Professional lawn care helps maintain a healthy, lush lawn, prevents common issues like weeds or pests, and improves overall appearance. Even if your lawn seems fine, regular maintenance can keep it thriving year-round. If you’re noticing signs like uneven growth, thinning grass, brown patches, or insect problems, it may be time for professional care to get your lawn back in top shape.

How do I prepare my landscape for a treatment?

There’s no need to prepare your landscape for treatment! However, you will likely need to water your lawn or landscape after the treatment to help the products work effectively and ensure results.

Is there anything I will need to do to ensure results of my lawn care program?

Yes. While our fertilization, weed control, and disease prevention treatments will significantly improve your lawn’s overall health and appearance, regular mowing and watering - as well as proper drainage - are essential to maximize the benefits. Mowing helps keep your lawn at an optimal height, and consistent watering ensures your grass gets the moisture it needs to thrive. Drainage in your yard is also important as poor drainage can cause turf diseases. All this to say, our lawn care service should be part of your lawn regimen - but not the only thing!

What types of lawn care services do you offer?

Our lawn care services are focused on improving the health of your lawn rather than just its appearance. We offer recurring services like fertilization, weed control, and disease prevention to promote a healthy, vibrant lawn throughout the year. However, we do not provide mowing services as part of our offerings. Our goal is to ensure your lawn is strong, resilient, and well-nourished.

Do I need multiple weed control treatments?

Yes. Weeds grow in cycles, so a single treatment will almost never be enough to eliminate weeds for good. We recommend a season-long weed control program for ongoing prevention and management.

How long does it take to see results from weed treatments?

You may see visible results within 7–14 days of treatment, but some stubborn weeds may require follow-up applications. Regular treatments throughout the season ensure the best long-term results.

What else can I do to prevent weeds?

A healthy, thick lawn is your best defense against weeds. Regular mowing, watering, and fertilization—combined with professional weed control—can drastically reduce weed growth over time.

What types of weeds do you treat?

We target a wide variety of common lawn weeds, including dandelions, crabgrass, clover, nutsedge, and broadleaf weeds. Our technicians are trained to identify and treat both warm- and cool-season weeds specific to your region.

Will the weeds come back?

Weed seeds can remain dormant in your soil, and new ones can blow in from surrounding areas. That’s why ongoing treatments and proper lawn maintenance (like mowing and fertilization) are key to keeping weeds under control.

What role does soil testing play in preparing Utah lawns for winter?

Soil testing before winter allows you to determine nutrient deficiencies and pH imbalances that can affect spring growth. Knowing your soil’s needs helps you apply the right type and amount of fertilizer, avoiding over-application that can harm the environment or under-application that weakens roots. In northern Utah, testing in late fall ensures amendments have time to integrate into the soil before freezing. This simple step gives your lawn a head start for a healthy, thick spring turf.

I have had these folks out for the last 3-4 years and I cant believe how much better my lawn looks. In the 6-7 years prior to their visit, spring/summer/fall were a constant battle with weeds and nothing ever seemed to work. Now my grass is healthier than its ever been and no weeds to speak of. Very reasonably priced to. I think I pay around $420 for the entire season.

Royal Lawn has been fantastic to work with and our yard looks incredible as a result! I highly recommend them for anyone who wants a healthy and weed free yard. Their prices are very reasonable and honestly, it's been worth every penny to not have to worry about doing the fertilizer ourselves! Thanks Royal Lawns!
